First Thought: I was just curious, I was worried that it was going to bad or something. Because like one says "Never just a book by its cover." But it sounded good, so I read it.
Cover: The cover is simple, but lovely with Susanne (or Caroline Carew) with all of her beauty and slight of her cleverness.
Setting: The setting is clearly in the past in London. I have always wanted to the London. Lovely setting and crystal clear of where the characters are.
Characters: The character are third dimension and not all perfect, they are have flaws that is one of the reasons why I love this novel because of its characters. Especially, James Devlin and Susanne because they are "original" and so passionate.
Plot: If I want to be simple, I would see that this is all about a young lad with a rich fiancee and met his former wife again. But no this novel's plot is much deeper in passion and romance. This book's plot is a... what's the word...wow, that's it. Yes, just wow.
Recommends: All fans of historical fiction and realistic romance.
